That travel time, if it's done in your personal automobile, is off-duty time. If you're bobtailing from home in your truck, it could be driving time. The Canadian rules allow you to drive an unladen tractor trailer or a bobtail tractor for a distance of up to 25 km for personal use before the trip is considered 'driving time' (line 3).
